This link will take you to a page on our site showing some of the previous map drawings for most of our trails. "Circling Historic Landscapes: Bicycling, Canoeing, Walking & Rail Trails Near Sugarloaf Mountain, Maryland" is the 1997 version of Sugarloaf Regional Trails. Although somewhat out of date, it includes gorgeous drawings and maps, and is still available from SRT for a contribution of $10.
This link goes to the Google scan of the 2007 book "History of Dickerson, Mouth of Monocacy, Oakland Mills, Sugarloaf Mountain," by Dona Cuttler. It describes the Sugarloaf area and much history of Sugarloaf Mountain itself, including schools for blacks and whites built by Gordon Strong.
